The state of Maine has established a public charitable organization dedicated to helping the citizens of Maine find quality, affordable health care. This organization is known as “Consumers for Affordable Health Care Foundation (CAHC)”.

The Services Of This Maine Organization Include:As part of the Covering Kids and Families Campaign, the CAHC targets consumers who may be eligible for coverage under the MaineCare program. MaineCare provides either free or low-cost health and dental insurance to children, parents, pregnant women, and adults who meet the programs income guidelines. Maine’s CAHC works closely with community-based organizations and businesses in providing information related to MaineCare and other health care topics. CAHC encourages businesses to provide information to their employees. Maine’s CAHC Foundation studies how state and federal health policies impact individual health care consumers and provides input to these agencies.
