The Governor of Tennessee introduced a limited-benefit health insurance plan to cover most medical services and was designed to offer options to small business owners and self-employed individuals that are affordable, portable and meet their specific health insurance needs. This health insurance program is called CoverTN and offers two different insurance plan types.

Individual health insurance premiums under the CoverTN program can range from $37 to $109 per month and will vary depending on age, tobacco use and obesity.
