The Governor of Tennessee introduced a limited-benefit health insurance plan to cover most medical services and was designed to offer options to small business owners and self-employed individuals that are affordable, portable and meet their specific health insurance needs. This health insurance program is called CoverTN and offers two different insurance plan types. |

CoverTN is administered by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and offers either “Plan A” or “Plan B”.

* Both plans have a maximum annual insurance benefit limit of $25,000 per year and when individuals reach the insurance benefit maximum, they are responsible for all expenses exceeding $25,000 until the next insurance plan year begins.
CoverTN Health Insurance PremiumsCoverTN is a voluntary partnership between the state of Tennessee, the individual purchasing the health insurance plan, and the employer, where each agree to pay one-third of the monthly insurance premium.
