Health Insurance EligibilityAccording to the Georgia Department of Community Health, childern under the age of 19, who do not have health insurance and who come from familes with income levels equal to 235% of the federal poverty level may be eligible. |

Evidently health insurance premiums are required for eligible children 6 years of age and older. The health insurance premium can be as high as $35 for one child and up to $70 for two children or more, in the same household.
