Any risk that is not named in the policy is not covered. Common named perils include fire, smoke, lightning, wind, explosion, and theft. All Perils Home Insurance Policy In this style of homeowners insurance, any peril that is not specifically excluded in the insurance policy will be covered. Common exclusions might be - damage by insects or rodents, earthquake (unless policy is endorsed), flood, deliberate damage, or normal wear and tear. |
