Very soon all the ghouls and goblins will be everywhere looking for all the goodies they can muster. Unfortunately, many kids die or become seriously injured at a time that is supposed to be fun. The kids have responsibilities to stay safe, but we, as adults, need to let them know what those responsibilities are.
There are web sites all over the internet that give all kinds of Halloween safety tips. Please take a few minutes to look at some of them. Unfortunately, the government safety sites won’t allow me to link to their page, but just go to Google and search for “halloween safety”.
Very Simple Safety Tips For Halloween
What Should Kids Do?
- If the house isn’t well lighted, Don’t Go In.
- Do Not go inside the house (we’re talking about strangers here).
- If you use a knife or sword as part of your costume, make sure it is made of rubber or some other very flexible material.
- Make sure you are accompanied by an adult.
- Stay on the sidewalk and use a flashlight.
- Wear bright clothes with some type of reflective material on it.
- Bring all the goodies home (before you eat any) so your Mom or Dad can look first.
What Should Adults Do?
- Supervise your kids
- Don’t allow your kids to leave your sight with anyone you don’t personally know.
- Watch for children everywhere
- Make sure kids get out of the car on the curb side and not the traffic side.
- Inspect all goodies before anyone eats them
- Trash any candy that is not in its original sealed packaging
Hope you have a Happy Halloween and let’s do what we can to insure that our kids are safe.

Nice to finally meet you!, to be honest I did not know that topics like e Kids Safety On Halloween - Insurance Maze - An AmPmInsure Blog For A Better Understanding Of Auto, Home, Life, Health and Business Insurance had anything to do with Health & Safety (which is what I was searching on). I found the article interesting though.
